The Red Rebel Brigade, part of Extinction Rebellion here in Western Mass, formed in September 2019 with dancer/choreographer Tyler Rai as director. Founded in Bristol, England by The Invisible Circus Street Theater in 2018, it has since captured our imagination and brought world wide attention to the climate emergency. Our Red Rebel Brigade has been moving together, building a repertory of gestures, and building ensemble, every two weeks. Dressed in blood red robes, our faces painted white, we act, as we process, as the silent witness, the space holder, the Greek chorus, the calm center in the eye of the storm.
